Hey! It's Jason Petersen and I'm a Frontend Web Developer located in Provo, Utah. I love starting with a design and a blank canvas, applying some hard work and a little love to turn that canvas into a beautiful, interactive user interface.

I'm a pilot turned web developer. I bring some unique experiences and a different view on problem solving. I am good under pressure, can think on my feet, and possess great communication skills.

mini-reddit

Mini Reddit

This website takes data from reddit's public .json api to display posts. It shows the title of the post, the author, number of comments, and number of up votes. Visitors to the site can choose from a selection of subreddits to display posts from that subreddit. The site is responsive to work seamlessly on various screen sizes. This site is made using react and redux.

Inspirational Quote Generator

This is an Inspirational quote genterator. It uses an online api to generate random quotes. It includes buttons to share that quote on twitter and to generate a new quote.

To-Do List

A todo list made in React, it saves the to do items in local storage. When the user checks the checkbox the item receives a strike through. Each item can be deleted individually, or all items that are checked off can be deleted.

Scoreboard

The Scoreboard App was made using React. There's a list of players, which can be added to using the input at the bottom. At the top of the page it shows the total number of players. There's an option to increase or decrease each players score. Updating the score will also update a total score at the top. Also at the top of the page there is a stopwatch. When a player has the highest score, a crown will appear next to their name. The crown will transfer to another player if they take the lead.
